SOL: Enchant Tier List
Comprehensive class rankings for all content types. Updated for Patch 2.4 (June 2026).
Tiers are based on class performance at max level (60) with optimal gear and Soul builds. S-tier represents classes that consistently outperform others in the given content category. A-tier classes are strong and viable in all situations. B-tier classes have specific weaknesses but remain effective when played well. C-tier classes currently lag behind the meta and may require more effort to achieve comparable results.
The absolute best classes in the current meta. These classes excel in all forms of content and are the most sought-after in group compositions.
Mage
The Mage claims the top spot in the overall rankings due to unmatched versatility. With the ability to switch between three elemental specializations, the Mage can adapt to any content type without respeccing gear. The Pyromancy build provides top-tier burst damage for bosses, Cryomancy offers the best crowd control in the game for PvE and PvP, and Electromancy delivers excellent sustained AoE damage for farming and dungeon clearing. The recent Patch 2.4 buffs to Frost Nova (cooldown reduced from 22s to 18s) and Celestial Storm (damage increased by 12%) have pushed the Mage solidly into S-tier territory. In the hands of a skilled player, no other class can match the Mage's combination of damage output, utility, and adaptability.
Assassin
The Assassin shares the S-tier crown with the Mage, albeit for different reasons. While the Assassin lacks the Mage's AoE clearing capability, its single-target burst damage is unparalleled. In PvP, a well-played Assassin can eliminate any non-tank target within a single Shadow Strike → Death Mark → Blade Tempest combo. The Patch 2.4 bug fix that corrected Shadow Strike's backstab multiplier (previously incorrectly applying at 150% instead of the intended 200%) has resulted in a significant damage increase that propelled the Assassin from A to S tier. Additionally, improvements to Stealth detection mechanics have made the Assassin more consistent and reliable in competitive play.
Strong, reliable classes that perform well in most situations. These are excellent choices that only fall behind S-tier in specific niche scenarios.
Paladin
The Paladin remains the undisputed best tank in the game. With 98 base defense and an arsenal of damage mitigation tools, no other class can absorb punishment like the Paladin. Every serious raid group needs a Paladin as their main tank. The only reason the Paladin sits at A-tier rather than S is its limited offensive capability in solo content — Paladins clear quests and farm materials more slowly than dedicated DPS classes. However, for group content, the Paladin is irreplaceable. Patch 2.4 increased Shield Bash damage by 10% and reduced Guardian's Vow cooldown by 3 seconds, making the Paladin's threat generation and ally protection even more reliable.
Archer
The Archer is the most consistent sustained damage dealer across all content types. The Precision Gauge mechanic rewards good positioning and consistent play, and the Archer's exceptional mobility allows them to maintain damage uptime in fights where other ranged classes would need to reposition. Mark Target remains one of the most impactful party utility abilities in the game. The Archer drops to A-tier because their damage profile is linear — they lack the explosive burst that makes Mage and Assassin so dominant in competitive PvP and time-sensitive boss phases.
Viable classes that can clear all content but require more investment or specific circumstances to match higher-tier classes.
Warrior
The Warrior is a solid all-rounder that unfortunately lacks a defining strength. In PvE, Warriors deal respectable damage but cannot match the Mage's AoE or the Assassin's single-target burst. In PvP, their lack of mobility makes them vulnerable to kiting from ranged classes. The Warrior's niche is as an off-tank/melee DPS hybrid, but most groups prefer either a dedicated Paladin tank or a higher-damage melee like the Assassin. Patch 2.4 gave Warriors a 5% base movement speed increase and reduced Rampage's Rage cost from 100 to 90, which helps but does not fully address the class's mobility issues.
Priest
The Priest occupies an unusual position in the tier list. As the only dedicated healing class, Priests are mandatory for all high-end group content. However, their damage output is the lowest in the game, making solo progression significantly slower than any other class. In PvP, a skilled Priest can single-handedly carry a team, but an unskilled Priest is a liability that dies instantly to enemy Assassins. The Priest's tier placement reflects this inconsistency — they range from S-tier in the hands of an expert to C-tier when played poorly. For the average player, the Priest's high skill floor and frustrating solo experience justify a B-tier overall ranking.
Classes that currently underperform relative to others. Playable but noticeably weaker in the current meta.
None
As of Patch 2.4, no class falls into the C-tier for overall performance. Netmarble's balance team has done an excellent job ensuring that every class is viable in their intended role. The gap between the strongest and weakest classes is narrower than it has ever been, and player skill remains the most significant factor in determining success. That said, players should be aware that the upcoming Shadow Dancer class (teased for the first major content update) may shake up the meta significantly.
Best classes for questing, farming, and dungeon clearing.
Mage
Unmatched AoE clear speed with Celestial Storm and Fireball Volley. Cryomancy specialization trivializes large dungeon pulls through crowd control. The ideal PvE class for efficiency-focused players.
Archer
Piercing Arrow and Rain of Arrows provide excellent sustained AoE damage. Long range allows safe farming of dangerous zones. Precision Gauge uptime is easiest to maintain in PvE where enemy patterns are predictable.
Warrior
Battle Hunger passive provides excellent sustain during long farming sessions. Rampage clears elite mobs quickly. Slower than Mage/Archer for AoE but more durable and forgiving.
Assassin
Extremely fast at clearing isolated elite enemies and bosses within dungeons. Struggles with large mob groups due to lack of AoE. Stealth allows skipping trash mobs to reach objectives faster.
Paladin
Tanky and immortal but slow. Paladins take 30-40% longer to clear the same content compared to damage-focused classes. Sanctuary provides some AoE but the damage is modest.
Priest
The lowest damage output in the game makes solo PvE progression painfully slow. Priests are heavily dependent on party members for efficient farming. Not recommended as a first character.
Dominant PvP classes that define the competitive meta.
Assassin
The undisputed king of PvP. Stealth initiation, Death Mark execute potential, and Blade Tempest untargetability make Assassins nearly impossible to counter without coordinated team play. A single Assassin can dismantle uncoordinated teams.
Mage
Cryomancy Frost Nova and Blink make Mages slippery and dangerous. Celestial Storm zone control dominates Divine War objectives. Vulnerable to Assassins, making positioning and map awareness critical.
Priest
Divine Intervention can completely negate enemy ultimates when timed correctly. Atonement damage-to-healing conversion allows Priests to contribute offensively while keeping teammates alive. Primary target in every fight.
Archer
Eagle Eye provides devastating burst windows, but Archers are vulnerable to gap-closers. Excellent in coordinated teams with Paladin protection but struggle in solo queue where peeling is inconsistent.
Paladin
Unkillable frontline presence that controls objective points. Guardian's Vow protects key allies. Damage output is too low to secure kills independently — Paladins in PvP are enablers, not playmakers.
Warrior
War Cry is a strong team buff, but the Warrior's low mobility makes them easy to kite. Without reliable gap-closers, Warriors struggle to reach ranged targets and are easily focused down in team fights.
Best classes for boss encounters in dungeons and raids.
Assassin
Backstab mechanics and Shadow Strike's behind-target damage bonus make Assassins the highest single-target DPS against bosses. Blade Tempest provides untargetability frames to avoid boss mechanics. The ideal boss-killer.
Archer
Mark Target's 20% damage amplification benefits the entire party. Consistent ranged DPS with no reliance on positional bonuses makes Archers reliable in all boss encounters. Eagle Eye burst windows align with boss vulnerability phases.
Mage
Pyromancy build deals massive burst damage during boss vulnerability windows. Frost Nova helps control adds. Limited by mana constraints in long fights and vulnerability during spell-casting animations.
Paladin
The mandatory tank for all serious boss encounters. No other class can reliably hold boss aggro while surviving mechanics. Divine Bastion can nullify entire boss ultimate attacks for the party.
Priest
Essential for healing through unavoidable boss damage and dispelling debuffs with Purify. Sanctuary provides area healing during stacking phases. Limited personal DPS means Priests contribute nothing to enrage timers.
Warrior
War Cry damage buff and Sundering Strike defense reduction provide decent party utility. Rampage burst is strong but melee positioning makes Warriors vulnerable to boss cleave attacks and frontal cones.
None
All classes contribute meaningfully to boss encounters in their respective roles. Proper party composition matters far more than individual class tier for boss content.
